Irsee's monastery quarters are ideal for nature enthusiasts who are keen on exploring the near surrounding.

If you enjoy easy and idyllic trails, have a go at the 30min circular path or the small trail around the village. Here you will get a chance to explore the famous baroque church of Irsee, the old village houses decorated with flowers, or Irsee’s landmark: the tower of St. Stephanschurch, so called “Wächter”. If, however, you prefer more sporty paths, take the one hour runners trail through woods and meadows. Bikers can enjoy flat paths as well as slightly undulating tracks around Irsee. A definite highlight for enthusiastic hikers is the “Höllenrunde”, which owes its name to an old pilgrim path. It takes around two and a half hours, and will take you through luscious meadows, narrow wooden bridges, past forests and right to Bickenried; the former summer residence of Irsee’s abbots and monks. 

A quick walk will take you through the historic village of Irsee, which also allows you to pass by the “Kunst- und Kulturpfad”.

A comfortable circular path with 17 info panels will take you to the historic and idyllic sites of Irsee. You will find contemporary art along the 60min. path.

Irseer Klosterbräu is more than happy to weclome any guests arriving with two-wheeled vehicles. Good quality shelters are provied for both bicycles and motorbikes. Diverse and well signposted paths will lead you through Allgäu's landscape and historic sites. Irsee's monastery quarters are also a popular destination for Oldtimerclubs.
